Hi there! I’m Kimmy!
Energetic
Self-confident
Resilient
This is the environment I want to create in every class I am blessed to teach. Coming from a very self-consciousness background not only with yoga, but life itself, I can empathize with those who don’t feel comfortable or confident within their yoga practice.
I will do my best to create a safe space for you to explore your unique expression, and to grow strong and comfortable in your own skin.
I want for you to experience yoga in a positive light that leaves you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated afterwards.
Let’s flow and grow together. I look forward to connecting with you on and off your mat.
Namaste,
Teacher Kimmy
My story
It all began with the passion to help others & the journey of self-healing.
Being able to identify our feelings and emotions can be extremely challenging for some people. I am one of those people. I bottled up my emotions and never showed my true feelings. I was the peace keeper and the fixer, but that left me feeling empty and sometimes angry. I did not know how to ask for help when my feelings became too much and I struggled with speaking my truth when I felt overwhelmed.
After struggling for so long, I sought out therapy. My therapist helped me discover healthy ways to mange my feelings, some of which included breath work and meditation. I fell in love with mediation and the practice of sitting in stillness. Therapy, breath work and meditation have helped me immensely on my healing journey. I did not know the power of taking a deep breath and letting my shoulders fall away from my ears. By simply doing that it felt like a weight had been lifted off my shoulder. Showing up to weekly therapy appointments, meditating and doing breath work has transformed my life.
I recently met all of my therapeutic goals and I graduated from therapy. My healing journey and time in therapy has helped me discover that I want to help others slow down, breathe and connect to their body. I had a conversation with Teacher Courtney about how I was feeling. Courtney then presented to me an opportunity to join the Evergreen Yoga and Mindfulness team and the rest is history.
